摘要: A qualitative study of the hydrodynamic effect on radius at which boiling occurs in two-phase, misaligned, mechanical seals with coning is presented. The more important parameters affecting problem are identified and analyzed. It found that effects depend mainly a modified Sommerfeld number. shown most practical cases can be neglected men large face misalignment. further interface many practically axisymmetric almost same as for perfectly aligned faces. factor reduces tendency to cavitate two-phase also pointed out.
