Charophytes of Insular Newfoundland II: Chara evoluta and Chara canescens

摘要: The rare Newfoundland disjuncts Chara evoluta and canescens are compared morphologically, ecologically, geographically. Although very similar they can readily be distinguished by their monoecious/dioecious nature, cortical cell features coronula size. Ecological differences more subtle difficult to quantify.
