The Impact of Childhood Abuse and Current Mental Health on Young Adult Intimate Relationship Functioning

摘要: This study examines the association between childhood abuse and intimate relationship quality attachment security in young adults. Data were drawn from Ontario Child Health Study, a province-wide community-based survey that collected baseline data 1983 3,294 children (aged 4 to 16 years) follow-up 2000/2001 (then aged 21 35 years). The sample comprised 1,885 men women who had completed questionnaires regarding retrospective accounts of current status 2000/2001. Childhood physical sexual was assessed using short form Experiences Violence Questionnaire.
