摘要: This study examines the association between childhood abuse and intimate relationship quality attachment security in young adults. Data were drawn from Ontario Child Health Study, a province-wide community-based survey that collected baseline data 1983 3,294 children (aged 4 to 16 years) follow-up 2000/2001 (then aged 21 35 years). The sample comprised 1,885 men women who had completed questionnaires regarding retrospective accounts of current status 2000/2001. Childhood physical sexual was assessed using short form Experiences Violence Questionnaire. It hypothesized would be associated with adult functioning, adjusting for family individual factors, these associations mediated by participants' mental health. analysis showed health reduced poor (beta 0.09 (se 0.02) 0.08 (0.02)) this outcome non-significant level ((beta 0.07 0.03) 0.05 (0.03)). insecure (OR 1.33 (95% CI 1.02-1.76) OR 1.31 (0.98-1.76)) 1.89 (1.36-2.65) 1.74 (1.19-2.52)). importance functioning accounting continuity adulthood is discussed.
