摘要: Abstract The effect of wall constraint on rectangular-section prisms is investigated experimentally in a low-turbulence wind tunnel up to blockage ratio 0.25. depth width ( d h ) the sections varies from 0.5 5.0. It shown that confinement mean surface pressure models not uniform streamwise direction and therefore cannot be regarded as an increase effective dynamic estimated drag or base measurements assumed by some investigators. current bluff-body correction formulae are found inadequate for correcting these sections, particularly at large ratios. A new equation, which modification Maskell's equation includes shape factor allow rectangular section, yields satisfactorily corrected pressure. Due stream direction, corrections distribution around them using this very satisfactory. Strouhal number valid = 3.0 .
