摘要: Wireless mesh networks (WMNs) provide high-bandwidth wireless access, which makes it capable for multimedia services. A user in a WMN may be covered by multiple APs, while should associated with only one to access the Internet. Conventional IEEE 802.11 user-AP association mechanism WLANs employs signal strength as sole metric. However, this lead network congestion and performance degradation multi-hop such WMNs, especially services that require large bandwidth low latency. Thus AP WMNs becomes an important research issue. In paper we propose novel approach LBAA, taking AP's load-balancing, WMN's characteristic, user's RSSI into consideration. We first centralized algorithm then extend distributed one, latter more practical convenient deployment. Network throughput max---min fairness are improved LBAA. Performance evaluation demonstrating benefits of our is given through series experiments terms collision probability, bandwidth, end-to-end throughput, average RSSI.
