摘要: From naked mole rats to elephants, research in wildlife biology increasingly entails interference with individual animals, and there are innumerable reasons justify this for the proper management of populations. As Boyd (2002) has emphasized, however, is a central question about extent which it reasonable intervene population when species endangered. This comment arose as part debate published last year journal on possible harmful effects immobilizing black rhinos fitting them radio-collars. Alibhai, Jewell & Towindo (2001) had prompted discussion reduction fertility caused by immobilization followed an account wounding rhino ill-fitting radio-collar (Alibhai Jewell, 2001).
