摘要: The main purpose of this paper is to demonstrate how the old modernist engineering technologies, such as single stormwater infiltration basins, can be transformed into quality environments that integrate ecological and social functions promote multiple sets outcomes, including biodiversity restoration, water management, cultural recreational purposes, among other urban roles. Using principles theories biophilic urbanism, regenerative design, qualitative inquiry, article analyzes discusses actors, drivers, strategies, constraints, values motivating stakeholders reinvent Perth’s infrastructure through two local case studies. “WGV sump park” was developed a public-private partnership, professional consultants with community input, “Green Swing garden” an owner-builder community-driven project involving volunteers, who maintain it. results research suggest both projects are successful at managing in way creates benefits. Communities could gain improved access nature, interaction, health, well-being if governments support these alternative approaches regenerate underutilized by promoting interventions. Mainstreaming design approach identified some issues may arise during implementation approach, suggests ways enhance wider delivery planning, volunteer maintenance for small scale fully assessments large projects.
