摘要: Purpose To evaluate the clinical results after implantation of a spherotoric intraocular lens (IOL) using bag-in-the-lens (BIL) technique. Setting Antwerp University Hospital, Department Ophthalmology, Antwerp, Belgium. Design Evidence-based manuscript. Methods Consecutive eyes with cataract and corneal astigmatism had BIL (IOL). The IOL was centered based on patient’s pupillary entrance Purkinje reflexes surgical microscope light. Results study enrolled 52 35 patients (23 women) ranging from 0.90 to 6.19 diopters (D). toric power between 1.00 D 8.00 D. One-third an additional ocular comorbidity (including amblyopia) that could influence outcomes; 5.2% irregular up 15 degrees. Twelve high myopia (axial length [AL] >26 mm) 5 eyes, hyperopia (AL Conclusion Spherotoric yielded outcomes similar those other IOLs, even in or Financial Disclosure Drs. Gobin Van Looveren Mr. Mathysen have no financial proprietary interest any material method mentioned. Additional disclosure is found footnotes.
