摘要: The 125 species of the satyrid butterfly tribe Pronophilini known from three Andean Cordilleras Colombia are listed, together with two whose Colombian status is doubtful. biological, ecological and biogeographical features described, using listed as examples. include restriction to moist conditions at high altitudes, endemism in areas on slopes within them, allopatric speciation subspeciation, parapatric distributions related up altitude gradients, intraspecific variation polymorphism apparent mimicry. criteria used for classifying taxa assessing their relationships discussed. Seventeen new species, subspecies one form described. At level, 11 synonymies established, rejected, 15 other revised, 23 combinations made. generic genus resurrected.
