摘要: The major end-products formed by fast atom bombardment (FAB) and γ-irradiation of glycerol have been identified using capillary gas chromatography/mass spectrometry. product distributions differ dramatically. Products resulting from the recombination either carbon-centered or oxygen-centered radicals are evident for both sources irradiation. However, FAB-generated products [G – H]· with other while γ-radiolysis result [G–H]· lower-weight species. γ-Radiolysis an N2O-saturated aqueous solution glycerol, experimental conditions that strongly favor formation at expense species, yielded some were identical to those produced FAB neat glycerol. Finally, free investigated electron spin resonance spectroscopy trapping 5,5-dimethyl-1-pyrrolne-TV-oxide. presence only radical was established this technique. implications these results discussed.
