摘要: Measurement of hepatic venous pressure gradient (HVPG) is a standard method for the assessment portal and correlates with occurrence its complications. Liver stiffness measurement (LSM) has been proposed as noninvasive technique prediction complications cirrhosis. In this study, we evaluated ability LSM to predict severe hypertension compared that HVPG in 61 consecutive patients HCV-related chronic liver disease. A strong relationship between measurements was found overall population (r = 0.81, P < 0.0001). However, although correlation excellent values less than 10 or 12 mm Hg 0.0003 r 0.91, 0.0001, respectively), linear regression analysis not optimal ≥10 (r2 0.35, 0.0001) ≥12 0.17, 0.02). The AUROC were 0.99 0.92, respectively at cutoff 13.6 kPa 17.6 kPa, sensitivity 97% 94%, respectively. cirrhosis, positively correlated presence esophageal varices (P 0.002), no size detected. area under ROC EV 0.76 value 90%. Conclusion: represents non-invasive tool identification disease clinically significant could be employed screening subjected investigations including upper GI endoscopy hemodynamic studies.
