摘要: A comprehensive review is presented of the world literature on adverse reactions to trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole (TMP-SMZ) since its first use in 1968, when concern was expressed about possible hematologic toxicity. Serious toxicity a rare event, but it occurs severe skin lesions and thrombocytopenia/leukopenia are most likely complications. Like other antibacterial agents, TMP-SMZ associated with gastrointestinal upset, affecting kidney, liver, fetus rare. If pregnant women those known be sensitive drug avoided if there an awareness interactions, therapy combination usual clinical setting not serious
