摘要: To understand the effect of grain refinement on thermally grown alumina scale adhesion to metal substrate, two d-Ni2Al3 coatings, one coarse-grained (� 70 lm) and other ultrafine-grained (generally below � 500 nm), were prepared. The cyclic oxidation in air at 1100 C shows that (UFG) coating is better resistant than (CG) due formation a more adherent scale. latter intrinsically correlated with fact aluminide helps increase oxide/metal strength through route prevent largesized voids interface.
