摘要: Hepatocellular cancer has been observed to progress in distinct morphological patterns: expanding or infiltrating, and these are ultimately associated with clinical outcomes. Tumor encapsulation is a particular phenomenon that attracted attention because of potential insights be gained about tumor stromal interactions. Much the current knowledge biology liver stroma comes from study cirrhosis, which form chronic wound healing, most hepatocellular cancers develop on background hepatic cirrhosis. Hepatic stellate cells myofibroblasts responsible for extracellular matrix turnover liver, collagen around encapsulated tumors. Since tumors have better prognosis than non-encapsulated tumors, it proposed host response presence tumor, kind defense mechanism. It unlikely as simple this, since capsule may reflect inherently attenuated invasive properties tumor. This chapter reviews interactions between stroma, reveals complex model tumor-host interactions, yet translate opportunities therapeutic benefit.
