摘要: Kanner introduceerde het syndroom early infantile autism in de kinderpsychiatrie. Hij omschreef uitgaande van een groep 11 kinderen tijdschrift The Nervous Child 1943 (Kanner, 1943). Daarna zijn er op basis ervaringen clinici en wetenschappers criteria geformuleerd. Bij classificatie Autistische Stoornis moet sprake problemen gebied sociale interactie, verbale non-verbale communicatie aanwezigheid repetitief stereotiep gedrag. Huidige voor deze stoornis omschreven DSM-IV (American Psychiatric Association, 1994) ICD-10 (World Health Organization, 1992), twee classificatiesystemen die dit punt sterk overeenkomen. Voor autisme moeten zes of meer aanwezig waarvan ten minste dimensie interactie minstens elk andere dimensies.
