High-Field 1H-NMR Study of Poly(Vinyl Chloride) Defects

摘要: Abstract Radical poly(vinyl chlorides), (PVC), obtained in bulk and suspension polymerizations, their low molecular weight extracts have been thoroughly studied by high-field NMR to obtain better qualitative quantitative analyses of structural defects. Assignments achieved 1H-1H decoupling experiments hyperfine spectral structure analysis model compounds extracts. Strong effects the nature solvents used 1H-NMR were observed. Most defects these radical PVC's quantitatively estimated terms average number values correlation with [Mbar]n. End-groups type [I'] (= −CH2−CH[dbnd]CH[sbnd]CH2C1) are about 0.5 per chain; internal double bonds can only be difference, amount increases increasing conversion.
