摘要: ABSTRACT In this chapter we will discuss the properties and applications of bioartificial hybrid systems used in biotechnological medical applications. first part focused on membrane bioreactors using biocatalysts such as enzymes, microrganisms cells for production biological molecules or separation pharmaceutical products. second isolated mammalian (i.e., liver cells, pancreatic cells) organs temporary continuous substitution injured organ. The membranes to be these devices reported including mass transport, morphological physico-chemical that influence their performance. discussion consider effect immobilization functional stability activity biocatalysts, material morphology, reaction environment. successful examples running at large scale, which authors are aware, also presented. application part, development organs, e.g. pancreas liver, well discussed. Particular attention given recent achievements cytocompatibility biocompatibility organs.
