摘要: Multiple questions relating to contributions of cultural and demographical factors in the process human geographical dispersal remain largely unanswered. India, a land early settlement resulting diversity is good place look for some answers. In this study, we explored genetic structure India using diverse panel 78 males genotyped GenoChip. Their genome-wide single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) was examined context various covariates that influence Indian gene pool. Admixture analysis SNP data showed high proportion Southwest Asian component all samples. Hierarchical clustering based on admixture proportions revealed seven distinct clusters correlating linguistic affiliations. Convex hull overlay Y-chromosomal haplogroups principal brought out non-overlapping polygons F*-M89, H*-M69, L1-M27, O2a-M95 O3a3c1-M117, suggesting male-mediated migration expansion Lack similar correlation with mitochondrial DNA clades indicated shared ancestry females. We suggest ancient migratory events regional niches led present day scenario peopling India.
