摘要: A mathematical model was developed to solve a steady free surface flow problem and rapid drawdown in two-dimensional porous medium. The same also solved by an analogue device excellent agreement found exist between the two solutions. This paper contains formulation of numerical from first principles discussion measures that had be taken order assure stability proper convergence solution. Although scope this study limited case, elements simulation discussed are general nature applicable three-dimensional problems. It demonstrated solution can obtained for position at given time intervals, piezometric head distribution within field quantities across boundaries. In addition, will permit consideration nonhomogeneous or anisotropic characteristics medium, without difficulty. It is concluded models, incorporating some all techniques paper, conjunction with control device, very efficient reliable tools solving complex problems, including those which, so far, have eluded comprehensive analysis, due physical and/or cost limitation.
