Nesting estimation and analysis of threats for Critically Endangered leatherback Dermochelys coriacea and Endangered olive ridley Lepidochelys olivacea marine turtles nesting in Congo

摘要: Six marine turtle species are reported from the coastal waters of Republic Congo. Among them, nesting by Critically Endangered leatherback Dermochelys coriacea and olive ridley Lepidochelys olivacea turtles occurs annually September to April on Congolese beaches. We developed a methodology model season apply it time series nest counts for six beaches monitored over 2–4 years. There is peak activity in early January December turtles. show decline nests during this period whereas increased, propose that differential threats these two explain such contrasted pattern.
