摘要: The use of off-road vehicles (ORVs) is widespread and a recognized management problem in the deserts southwestern United States elsewhere (Sheridan, 1980). One most important long-lasting effects ORV compaction soil caused by force rolling wheels. Compaction can be defined as application forces to mass which results an increase density strength. Soil known contributing factor accelerated erosion (Snyder et al., 1976; see Chapter 5) cause decreased plant growth (see Chapters 7 13) deserts. Hence, quantitative prediction fundamental importance formulation plans designed minimize adverse impacts ORVs on soils.
