摘要: A theoretical treatment of multiple Rutherford scattering is given which exact if one considers electrons with the same total path length in scatterer. The approximations necessary for actual solution problem a thin scatterer can be shown to have little effect on results small angle scattering. distribution expressed as series Legendre polynomials has been evaluated numerically; final result approximately Gaussian curve. It that this depends sensitive way upon deviation from law due screening by electrons. This may perhaps explain discrepancies between experiments and theory.
