COVID-19 and ophthalmology: A scientometric analysis.

摘要: Purpose: Coronavirus disease pandemic has impacted global healthcare tremendously and ophthalmology is one of the high-hit specialties. An increasing number research items are upcoming with COVID-19-related in this report aims at performing a scientometric analysis all available pertaining to COVID-19 ophthalmology. Methods: A Web Science (https://webofknowledge.com) query TS = ("novel coronavirus 2019" OR "coronavirus "COVID 19" "nCOV" "SARS-CoV-2" "COVID-19") AND WC ("Ophthalmology") was deployed on February 22, 2021, retrieve topics interest. R software (v4.0.1) Bibliometrix library visualize metrics quantify geographical distribution, source metrics, author document keyword metrics. Results: total 616 appeared our search results that were drafted by 2398 authors published 63 sources. India, USA, UK, China had greatest among others. Indian Journal Ophthalmology, Eye, Graefe's Archive for Clinical Experimental Ophthalmology sources items. Documents per 0.257 3.89. The collaboration index noted be 4.28. Conclusion: Our presents descriptive quantitative COVID-related field provides evidence increased researchers have fostered fight pandemic.
