An overview on diagnosability and prognosability for system monitoring

摘要: The complexification of systems has brought the emergence a new field study: system health monitoring. This is deemed necessary because it improves availability and avoids unnecessary maintenance costs. System monitoring performed through diagnosis prognosis methods. Diagnosis consists in detecting identifying faults that may lead to failures. Prognosis related prediction Remaining Useful Life (RUL) corresponds remaining time until failure. paper aims at giving an overview on properties different types systems. We will focus diagnosability prognosability properties. first briefly present interest for community. consider Discrete Event Systems (DES), Continuous (CS), Hybrid (HS) or Heterogeneous (HtS). rest this definitions given literature concepts prognosability. similarities differences these be highlighted. Some metrics associated with property also discussed.
