摘要: Polycarbonate Nuclepore filters are better than cellulose for the direct counting of bacteria because they have uniform pore size and a flat surface that retains all on top filter. Although also retain bacteria, many trapped inside filter where cannot be counted. Before use, must dyed with irgalan black to eliminate autofluorescence. Direct counts in lake ocean waters twice as high filters.
