摘要: The last few decades have seen tremendous advances in the understanding of human genetics, especially since sequencing genome 2003. With rectal cancer, as with all cancers, genetics is at center its etiology, whether it associated an inherited syndrome or a somatic mutation from environmental other oncogenic factors. Understanding cancer has improved aspects oncology and biology, such progression spread, prevention, treatment, considering “personalized medicine” that allows individual’s “genetic signature” to be used tailor therapy. Unlike surgical treatment addressed this textbook, there little unique relative colon when discussing biology. Instead, most research field focused on both (CRC) based their indistinguishable genetic signature [1], therefore chapter will focus CRC particular attention impact development well outcomes chemotherapeutic treatment. Additionally, screening chemoprevention options, critical for early detection prevention efforts also not often specific addressed.
