摘要: This paper describes a sensor network that has been designed and deployed to monitor the environmental conditions within large multi-use building. The measured across this include temperature, humidity, light levels, ambient sound level, room occupancy an informal survey of occupant comfort level. nodes were be low cost with intention significant number them could around buildings. In initial study described in paper, comprising 17 prototypes university is Ethernet based uses building's existing infrastructure for communication central server which stores recorded data. Preliminary analysis data collected from over period 10 months combined local meteorological station fiscal energy meters presented. overall goal project use find more efficient methods heating building while maintaining comfort. particular, it anticipated will identify parameters, other than are indicative To determine this, current work focussed on classifier predict given by weather smart meters. Analysis identified model should indicate variables most influence also aims produce dataset may used future research aid design networks.
