摘要: The Neogene strata exposed on Nias Island, Indonesia consist of Miocene marls, sandstones, and conglomerates the beds that overlie Oyo Complex, a tectonic melange pre-Miocene age. They provide an excellent opportunity to study ancient trench-slope sedimentation. Lithofacies vertical sedimentary sequences in are similar those described from submarine fan environments. overall describe coarsening-and thickening-upward trend. basal portion sections consists dominantly thin-bedded fine-grained turbidites marls Facies D G.
