摘要: Purpose The Lanxi Cohort was established to systematically investigate the aetiology and interplay of body fat distribution multiple factors with obesity obesity-related non-communicable diseases in China. Participants baseline investigation study took place between June 2015 August 2017 Lanxi, Zhejiang Province, Permanent residents from one urban community four rural villages were involved this study. included questionnaire survey, physical examination, dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) scan, blood samples collection traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) inquiry. Findings data A total 5132 participants, aged 18 80 years, recruited at baseline; among them, 38.7% men 64.8% area. mean age 53.04±12.77 years. completion rates DXA TCM inquiry 99.9%, 98.5%, 99.9% 96.5%, respectively. mass index (BMI) 23.42±3.20 kg/m2 8.1% population being obese (BMI ≥28 kg/m2). crude prevalence hypertension, diabetes metabolic syndrome 34.9%, 10.0% 30.4%, Future plans All participants will be monitored annually for cause-specific mortality morbidity hospital admission followed up by in-person survey every 4 is considered expand future depending on availability funding support.
