摘要: Objective To measure the intraocular pressure (IOP) in normal American Bullfrogs (Rana catesbeiana) with rebound and applanation tonometry to create calibration curves for both tonometers determine actual IOP of bullfrogs. Procedures Twenty bullfrogs were evaluated slip-lamp biomicroscopy, indirect ophthalmoscopy, tonometry, tonometry. Axial globe length corneal thickness measured three largest smallest frogs ultrasonography optical coherence tomography, respectively. Two euthanized direct manometry. Results The median was 4 mmHg tonometer 16 tonometer. The correlation coefficient (r2) between manometry measurements 0.95 0.91 tonometers, corresponding equations y = 0.331x + 0.558 0.675x 1.907 axial 0.94 cm. 0.093 mm. Conclusions The is preferable Bullfrogs. Neither produced readings that matched manometer. more precise it faster easier use.
