摘要: Silver, platinum, gold, stainless-steel, and copper electrodes were used with low currents (0.02 to 20 μA/mm 2 ) explore their electrochemical effects on the growth of four bacterial species. In higher current ranges, all inhibited at both poles, usually in conjunction electrolytic break-down medium severe corrosion metal. however, was extremely bacteriostatic, even lowest current, when as anode. Quantitative studies showed that most this inhibition takes place a few hours is not accompanied by changes pH. Electrochemically injected silver from anode probably instrumental agent, being effective concentrations about 5 μg/ml. This equivalent concentration sulfadiazine has been shown give complete bacteria, but without sulfonamide moiety. Images
