摘要: In this study, banana stalk was used as a feedstock to produce hydrochar by hydrothermal carbonization (HTC). The effect of varying temperature (160 200 °C), reaction time (1 3 h) on yield, and higher heating value (HHV) examined. With increasing time, the yield varied from 57.8 75.3%, whereas HHV 18.1 18.9 MJ/kg. carbon content, energy density, recovery all hydrochars were improved after conversion. decrease O/C H/C values in agreement with coalification severity HTC conditions. surface characteristics thermal degradation properties also assessed Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). low ash sulfur content process indicates that can be potential raw material for production.
