摘要: Reports of plant-like and bacterial-like genes for a number parasitic organisms, most notably those within the Apicomplexa Kinetoplastida, have appeared in literature over last few years. Among apicomplexan following discovery plastid (apicoplast), was less surprising although extent transfer relationship transferred to apicoplast remained unclear. We used new genome sequence data begin systematic examination origin combined with phylogenomic approach detect potential gene transfers four genomes. detected algal nuclear, chloroplast (cyanobacterial) proteobacterial origin. Plant-like were species not currently harbouring (e.g. Cryptosporidium parvum) putatively that appear be unrelated function apicoplast. While mechanism acquisition many identified is certain, it appears some likely acquired via intracellular from an endosymbiont while others may been horizontal transfer.
