摘要: This research focuses on the development of spectroelectrochemical sensor formats based thin film molecular architectures and electrochemical detection solgel encapsulated macromolecular recognition elements. To achieve this goal, there were two major objectives: 1) to demonstrate characterize conductive polymer grown electrochemically in porous sol-gel films with specific regard ability mediate charge transfer between molecules electrode surface, 2) develop a means probe spectroscopic properties highly absorbent as function applied potential. Toward first objective, diffusion derivatized thiophene monomer into subsequent electropolymerization at an underlying indium-tin oxide (ITO) surface was found produce network capable mediating electron from redox centers bulk surface. At high levels loading, emergent, templated, polymeric structures are formed which extend electrolyte solution exhibit ultramicroelectrode arrays. second polychromatic, electroactive attenuated total internal reflectance (EA-ATR) instrument developed consisting coated glass reflection element (IRE). In addition degree sensitivity relative transmission geometries, geometry affords acquisition absorption anisotropy information, via polarization incident beam,
