摘要: The United States has successfully landed five robotic systems on the surface of Mars. These all had mass below 0.6 metric tons (t), footprints order hundreds km and at sites -1 MOLA elevation due need to perform entry, descent landing operations in an environment with sufficient atmospheric density. Current plans for human exploration Mars call 40-80 t elements scientifically interesting locations within close proximity (10's m) pre-positioned assets. This paper summarizes past successful approaches being developed by program increased performance (mass, accuracy elevation). In addition, sequence a system will be reviewed, highlighting technology advances required.
