Genderwise Investigation of Empahty Skills in Child Athletes

摘要: ABSTRACT This study intends to investigate the empathy skills in child athletes with regard gender. The group comprises 226 children selected randomly from various clubs Ankara. 56.7% of total number is female and 40.3% male. When sports age a mean 12.16 examined, it can be seen that 40.7% have been doing for 1-2 years, 42.0% 3-4 years 17.3% 5-6 years. distributed into branches, 29.2% pertaining volleyball, 42% handball, 28.8% basketball. In study, 'Empathy Scale Children' developed by Bryant (3) adapted Turkish Yuksel (23) was used as data collection tool. frequency, percentage distributions values sub-dimensions scales were calculated. Independent Samples T-test determine levels athletes. findings differed according gender this difference statistically significant favor girls (p=.00). As result, activities aiming improve sportspeople’s taking roles perspectives along empathetic thinking should included process creating people thus sensitivity increased.
