摘要: Arabidopsis END1-LIKE (AtEND1) was identified as a homolog of the barley endosperm-specific gene END1 and provides model for study this class genes their products. The is expressed in endosperm transfer cells (ETC) grasses. ETC are responsible nutrients from maternal tissues to developing endosperm. Identification several ETC-specific encoding lipid proteins (LTP), including END1, provided excellent markers identification during seed development. To understand how AtEND1 forms complexes with molecules, three-dimensional (3D) molecular generated reconciled function. spatial temporal expression patterns were examined transgenic plants transformed an promoter-GUS fusion construct. promoter found be pollen specific. In contrast homologous wheat barley, less It observed ovules few gametophytic tissues. A series deletions fused coding sequence (CDS) uidA region identified. 163 bp fragment sufficient both reflecting that AtEND1. Our data suggest could used marker role unclear but it may involved fertilization and/or cellularization.
