摘要: We study the discrimination of weak coherent states light with significant overlaps by nondestructive measurements on through measuring atomic that are entangled to via dipole coupling. In this way, problem and discriminating is shifted finding appropriate atom-light interaction measurements. show scheme allows us attain a probability error extremely close Helstrom bound, ultimate quantum limit for binary states, simple Jaynes-Cummings between field ancilla optimized light-atom coupling projective states. Moreover, since measurement state, information not detected one can be extracted from post-measurement subsequent
