摘要: Abstract Primary frequency control (PFC) has the ability to regulate short period random variations of during normal operation conditions and response emergency rapidly. However, in last decade, many large blackouts happened worldwide that led serious economic losses. It allows concluding current PFC meet an is poor, security power system (PS) should be improved. An alternative effectively enhance thus PS store exceeding energy off-peak load periods efficient storage systems (ESSs) for substituting primary reserve. In this sense, superconducting magnetic (SMES) combination with a Static Synchronous Compensator (STATCOM) are capable supplying both active reactive powers simultaneously very fast, dramatically. paper, new concept based on incorporating STATCOM coupled SMES device presented. A full detailed model integrated STATCOM-SMES proposed, including pseudo 48-pulse voltage source inverter (VSI) two-quadrant three-level dc–dc converter as interface SMES. addition, dynamic equivalent multi-machine studies The proposed simplified modeling developed using state-space averaging technique implemented MATLAB/Simulink environment phasor simulation method. Moreover, scheme designed, decoupled strategy d–q reference frame novel controller prevent dc bus capacitors imbalance enhanced controller.
