摘要: The adsorption of self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) on metal oxide surfaces is a promising route to control electronic characteristics and surface wettability. Here, arylphosphonic acid derivatives are used modulate the properties vertically oriented ZnO nanowire arrays. Arylphosphonate-functionalized nanowires incorporated into hybrid organic-inorganic solar cells in which infiltrated poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) serves as polymer donor. Strong correlations between device short-circuit current density (J sc) power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) with functionalization species observed weak correlation open-circuit voltage (V oc) observed. Inverted fabricated these treated interfaces exhibit PCEs high 2.1%, primarily due improvements J sc. Analogous devices using untreated arrays having 1.6%. enhancement sc attributed passivation by SAMs enhanced wettability from P3HT, improve charge transfer reduce carrier recombination at interface cells.
