摘要: Despite the widespread use of aquatic macroinvertebrates in basic and applied studies ecology, little is known Providence, even more when biota islands represents itself a subject interest because its relationships with mainland other nearby islands. This study described composition structure island’s communities during three periods related to hydrologic cycle, identified geographic distributions faunal elements found. Five sites island (Lazy Hill, Bailey, Fresh Water, El Pico Old Town) which physical chemical parameters were measured, organisms collected available microhabitat. Descriptors (species richness abundance) diversity indexes (Margalef index, Simpson’s dominance index Shannon-Wiener index) population calculated. Kruskal Wallis test was establish differences between abundance seasons, CCA for association parameters. It found that Lazy Hill The Peak are most diverse (DMg 7.15 8.40, respectively) they may be valuable refuge dry season. Geographic did not allow recognition endemism at genera level, but studied mainly combination cosmopolitan Central South American elements. Seasonality has remarkable effect on communities, being greater less intervention, as Peak.
