Autotransfusion of drained mediastinal blood after cardiac surgery: a reappraisal.

摘要: In a randomised prospective study the efficacy of autotransfusion was investigated in two groups 25 patients, group which autologous blood collected from mediastinal tubes and retransfused, second, control group, only stored used. reduction 50% amount required observed. However, out patients transfusion system could not be used due to clot formation one its components. From total bloodloss per patient about 25% became available for autotransfusion. No significant differences between were found hemoglobine, hematocrite, white count, platelets fibrinogen level. Coagulation studies drain indicate that an active process clotting, followed by fibrinolysis occurs during losing collecting. The retransfusion contained considerable small-sized debris. It is concluded recommended routine use.
