摘要: The concentrations of Cd, Cr, Cu, Ni, Pb, Sn and Zn in the surface sediments 41 stations mid-coast Maine region Gulf were determined. 14 located Casco Bay had previously been surveyed 1980. Metal distributed heterogeneously between subregions study area, generally exceeded pre-industrial levels. Highest levels occurred Booth Bay, where comparisons with National Status Trends Program database conservatively placed Cu Pb top quadrile sites nationwide. Spatial distributions consistent transport from large Kennebec-Androscoggin watershed, supplemented by localized inputs. Within appeared to have declined since 1980, while Ni was unchanged increased throughout entire Bay.
