摘要: Summary form only given. Nickel aluminate (NiAl 2 O 4 ) spinel was formed using transferred arc plasma (TAP) melting in a single step processing. For the same, commercially available NiO and α-Al 3 powders were mixed 1∶1 molar weight ratio ball mill then melted specially designed torch at different operating conditions. Argon gas used to produce atmospheric pressure. XRD, SEM Micro Raman studies conducted characterize processed samples results conclude that 10 kW of input power level 5 mins processing times are appropriate for obtaining highest percentage NiAl spinel. The efficiency formation increases with time up certain time, thereafter it decreases.
