摘要: The study was undertaken to determine the age at which children first become infected with Streptococcus mutans and tooth sites most frequently colonized. not harbored in newborn infants or young edentulous children. organism found colonize on interproximal facial smooth surfaces of deciduous teeth, then tended areas posterior teeth contact each other. prevalence localization oral cavities 92 investigated. ages ranged from newborns 5 years. only their incisors did harbor S mucous membranes j incisors. As number erupted increased, there a gradual increase isolation organism. greatest frequency , 46.3%, occurred those complete dentition between molars. where molar were frequent early colonization mutans.
