摘要: Abstract Background: Human polymorphic nuclear granulocytes (PMNs) such as neutrophils and eosinophils play a critical role in mediating inflammatory responses to microbial parasitic infections. Exposure of these leukocytes cytokines leads an amplification granulocyte effector functions by mechanism termed "priming." Although many studies have investigated the effects priming, little is known concerning molecular mechanisms that lead this phenomenon. Objective: The purpose study was identify potential markers for priming thus also gain further insight into pathogenesis responses. Methods: We used modified differential display technique, random arbitrary primed–PCR genes regulated during human GM-CSF vitro. Genes identified were validated Northern blot analysis vitro vivo primed leukocytes. Results: Several their expression characterized One genes, 5-lipoxygenase–activating protein, found be up-regulated isolated after allergen challenge allergic asthmatic patients. Conclusion: use technology rapid effective means identifying whose vivo. Further will better understanding phenotype may provide pathologic processes. (J Allergy Clin Immunol 2000;105:760-8.)
