Improvement of satellite derived pollution maps with the use of a geostatistical interpolation method

摘要: The small number of ground stations for the assessment spatial distribution air pollutants motivates search methods that make use satellite images. One such method, known as Differential Texture Analysis (DTA), is used to measure Aerosol Optical Thickness in Visible (AOTV), which correlates highly with quality. With this presence clouds and/or land cover changes produce patches missing values. In paper we demonstrate universal kriging can be obtain reasonable estimates these methodology was applied a derived AOTV map city Brescia (Italy).
