摘要: Currently, server (host) virtualization technology that brings effective use of resources to a data center is promising as cloud services are being prevalent with increasing traffic volumes and requirements for higher service quality. Proposed network TAP, named vTAP (Virtual Test Access Port), overcomes the problem existing hardware TAP devices cannot be utilized virtual links monitor among machines (VMs) at packet level. can implemented by switch gives connectivity VMs switching packets over links. The port mirroring feature naive solution provide level monitoring VMs. However, using in an environment needs treat large volume low delay such NFV (Network Function Virtualization) incurs performance degradation capability error-prone manual configurations. This paper provides design implementation approaches Open vSwitch DPDK (Data Plane Development Kit) OpenFlow SDN (Software-Defined Networking) controller overcome problems. accelerate overall processing operations needed vTAP, centralized flexible way apply manage policies network. also comparisons proposed method, mirroring.
