摘要: Abstract A means of determining air emission source regions adversely influencing the city Prince George, British Columbia, Canada from potential burning isolated piles mountain pine beetle-killed lodge pole is presented. The analysis uses CALPUFF atmospheric dispersion model to identify safe based on stability and wind direction. Model results show that location extent influence sensitive speed, direction, a threshold used quantify excessive concentrations. concentration Wide PM2.5 Standard delineate while Environment Canada's (EC) daily ventilation index (VI) local stability. Results analysis, be by quality meteorologists in assessing requests for permits, are presented as series maps delineating acceptable locations sources placed at various distances center under different conditions. no should allowed within 10 km center; poor conditions, 20 km good can 10–15 km fair beyond 15 km if direction reliably forecast, between 5 downwind
