摘要: Food webs, descriptions of who is eating whom in an ecosystem, are one the most enduring and influential concepts ecology. An increasing number studies including parasite-host feeding interactions food each providing evidence that parasites alter our perception web structure. Amundsen et al. this issue report intriguing details on role complexity arctic web. They highlight links generated by trophically transmitted - those via a predator-prey interaction between two hosts. These data show type natural history knowledge necessary to advance understanding complexity, structure dynamics.
